Look du Jour W/ GLCE 14/06/23

I kicked off my first BTS styling project for the Galeries Lafayette Champs-Élysées social media page, and the brief was right up my alley: five looks, Monday to Friday, all pulled from the latest collections of in-store brands. My mindset? If my budget was as limitless as my imagination, how would I step out every day of the week? Think payday-level styling, no holds barred.

These looks were a mix of structure with fluidity in such a cool way.

Look 1: The semi-sheer tulle Mugler bodysuit with bootcut The Attico jeans is such a fun contrast, bodysuits/lingerie and jeans is so 2016. Added an oversized Y/Project x Jean Paul Gaultier trompe oeil blazer? That could add an extra layer of drama.
Look 2: Loving the Courrèges dress layered over a Bottega shirt—very sleek, very Y2K-futuristic. The Prada Americas Cup keeps it grounded.
Look 3: Acne dress with a Margiela blazer is giving effortless cool. Are the Clarks the classic Wallabees or another style?
Look 4: Marine Serre top and Courrèges bralette is an underrated pairing. The Bottega skirt makes this feel high fashion, but the Jaw slippers add that casual subversiveness.
Look 5: Balenciaga denim with an Amiri fillet top is an unexpected mix. Are you thinking structured or distressed denim? JWA boots will definitely elevate it.

That sounds sick! You must’ve had access to some insane pieces while working there. Did you end up filming and posting the video, or was it more of a personal styling experiment? Also, how did you feel about styling yourself instead of others—since I know you prefer being behind the scenes?
